Spary Procedures :

Filter the coating before spray

Base coat: by 400 mesh
Top coat: by 200 mesh

Preheat substrate surface to 40℃ ~ 50℃ Important for good adhesion

Air-blow substrate surface with spray gun To remove dust just before spray
Air-Spray (2 wet-on-wet layer, spray base layer first, and immediately followed by the top layer) Gun nozzle size: ∅1 ~1.5 mm
Spray air pressure: 3 ~ 4kgf/cm2
Dry film thickness:

  • Base coat: 25 ~ 30 microns
  • Top coat: 10 ~ 15 microns
Cure immediately after spray To avoid accumulation of dust on the wet surface

Tips

Ceramic coating has lower viscosity than teflon, and should be sprayed with lower air pressure in order to achieve better appearance. It should also be sprayed with a smaller nozzle, so that amount of coating coming out from the gun during spray is less.

When spray the top coat onto the base coat in wet condition, the spray pressure must be carefully contained within the specification in order not to exert excessive pressure on the base coat.

If substrate is not pre-heated, the coating may not adhere properly to the substrate. However, overly high pre-heat temp will result in rough appearance.

Dust-free environment is always preferred. All equipments should be thoroughly cleaned before spraying ceramic coating, as blister will occur if mixed with solvent from organic coating.
